Our group has the common interest of studying Arts, but in this work, we're going to talk more about music classes.

One of best universites of Brazil (in terms of music) is Universidade Federal do Rio Grande Do Sul (UFRGS). It was created in 1934 and in it is located in Porto alegre. The Music Department of the Arts Institute of UFRGS is in a metropolitan center characterized by being a strategic cultural hub of Mercosul. In addition to a symphony of national renown, work at the Porto Alegre an orchestra of classic proportions, three chamber orchestras and dozens of choirs. The region has several concert halls included in the circle of international presentations.

Porto Alegre has fundamental importance in the recognized tradition of music education in Rio Grande do Sul, where the Music Department has a central character acting. This fact contributes to an intense artistic experience and the acquisition of basic knowledge to practice and music education at all levels. In line with the present, the Department of the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul Music is an agile organization that provides musical preparation of the highest level and a valuable opportunity for music students who want to launch into working life. In recent years it has been highlighted by the intense musical and academic production (in both levels of education - Undergraduate and Graduate), in university activity and artistic production and research. This production has been recognized nationally and internationally through intense performance of teachers and students in these scenarios.

And talking about music international universities, we have the example of Berklee College Music. It was founded in 1945 and is the largest independent college of world music. It was founded on the revolutionary principle that the best way to prepare students for careers in music was to the study and practice of music.

 

3,800 students and 460 faculty members [1] interact in an environment designed to provide the most complete learning experience possible, including all the opportunities and challenges presented by a career in contemporary music industry.
The school offers four-year courses with a degree and / or diploma in a variety of areas related to music, such as composition, performance, music production, music engineering, soundtrack, administration, music synthesis, music education and music therapy.

Criolo is and important brazilian artist nowdays. He sings rap, MPB, samba and reggae. His real name is Kleber Cavalcante Gomes and he was born in São Paulo. He started rapping in 1989, the same year Taylor Swift was born, so you can see the musical conection in this very important year for the musical world.
