The timetable of UFRGS is composed of 202 compulsory subjects, 12 elective credits and 6 additional credits. The University of Rio Grande do Sul offers two additional activities and the most important to participate is the “estágio de processo civil”. In this workshop people learn how the logistic of the process works, and there’ll be opportunity to participate as a lawyer in real process. Obviously those vacancies are only available for the 4th year students.
The University of Rio Grande do Sul offers 98 vacancies and there were 1.539 inscriptions last summer. But there is a second option for the future law students that is the university at night with 147 vacancies. At the compulsory subjects the load time varies from 30, 60 or 80 classes by semester.
UFRGS is focussed in Constitutional Law because it is a public university, which goal is to graduate students to work at the public services.

The University of Rio Grande do Sul offers two additional activities and the most important to participate is called by “oficinas de comunicação”. On these classes the student acts like a journalist in almost all areas that the course offers as web-communication, TV media, photography (…). To participate of these activities students just have to be matriculated at the Journalism course.
